WANTED- Student Callers

UCD Career Development Centre is hiring students to help with the First Destinations Survey of 2014 UCD graduates!

We need approximately 2 students to help with data entry from paper forms and about 10 to help with making follow up calls to graduates. Rate of pay for both jobs will be 8.65 EUR per hour, with a bonus for those who exceed call targets.

Data entry will run from 18th May until the mid June and helpers will be required for a couple of days each week – dates and times are flexible and can be worked around your work/study schedules.
Follow up calls will take place from Tuesday 12th of May until mid June. Callers will most likely be required for 2-3 hours per day/evening (5-7pm) during these weeks.

Training will be provided for both groups.

Please email us at fdr@ucd.ie stating whether you prefer data entry or calling, providing a short summary of relevant skills and experience and giving an indication of your availability for the dates outlined above.

Would you like an opportunity to be part of an exciting new short online course that explores critical thinking in the context of global challenges facing society today?

universitas21 logoAs part of the Universitas 21 Network, UCD is participating in U21 Shared Online Course ‘Critical Thinking in Global Issues’. This course is a version of a MOOC, developed by the University of Edinburgh, which has been tailored in the form of a shared online course (SOC) and will now be delivered by the University of Edinburgh to UCD students and fellow students across the U21 Network.

This is an excellent opportunity for UCD undergraduate students to develop the capacity for critical thought and a sense of internationalisation while participating in a MOOC-type learning experience with fellow U21 students from across the world. Successful completion of this course by UCD students will be recognised and reflected on students’ Diploma Supplement.

The course is open to all undergraduate students and requires 1-2 hours study per week (for 5 weeks, starting 9 March). Current students who may be interested are invited to participate in this unique learning opportunity and to enrol as soon as possible by using your UCD email address via the following link: http://www.universitas21.com/link/U21SOC.

Please note in order for your participation and completion in this course to be recognised by UCD it is essential that you use your UCD student email account to register.
