Whether you want to work as an intern for a large professional financial firm or try voluntary work abroad, you’ll find something here for you.

Join us at this year’s fair on February 3rd, 2016 in Astra Hall.

Ozanam House Resource Centre is a community resource centre run by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul and based in Mountjoy Square in the North Inner City.

Ozanam house volunteers and kids

Throughout the year we run childcare, youth, adult education and community programmes. During the summer months the centre is taken up with our Summer Projects, with 180 children and young people involved in action packed, activity based programmes. We need as many volunteers as possible to make this happen.

Our Summer Projects start mid-June and run throughout July and August with the biggest number of volunteers required in July. We engage children and young people aged 5 to 18 years of age. They are broken into different groups and projects according to their age. Volunteers are asked to give a minimum of one week to the group of their choice.

All of our projects are activity based with some excursions included each week. The activities can include Arts & Crafts, Cookery, Computers, drama, Sports and games, swimming, photography, film making, digital media, fashion design, and new ideas are always welcome!

Our volunteers act as mentors and friends to the young people, encouraging and supporting them throughout the project. We encourage our volunteers to be as involved in the projects as possible –the more you put in the more you get from the experience. As you can imagine it is an incredibly fun, energising and rewarding experience, as we engage vulnerable children who otherwise would not have any activities or holidays during the summer.

So if you have skills you wish to share, if you want to have a unique and fun experience, to develop your skills further, greatly enhancing your CV and also to make a really big difference in the lives of young people in the Inner City get in touch before Friday 1st May
