This website is a pilot UCD Media Services initiative designed to encourage and facilitate the use of web 2.0 technology within the University and to create a University standardised design and template tools for the development of campus blogging.
Since this project began in 2008 we have hosted over 100 blogs from a variety of disciplines, including medicine, archaeology, biology, business & marketing and the social sciences.
The site was originally based on a customised version of an existing wordpress theme and has now been redeveloped completely using a completely framework and design.
If you are a member of UCD staff, or are involved in a project connected to the University and wish to create a blog as part of your work, please feel free to contact us if you wish to avail of this service.
UCDblogs runs on the wordpress CMS/Blogging platform. The site was developed using a headway to create a completely custom theme, developed from scratch by Media Services.
UCD Media Services is located on the 2nd Floor of the James Joyce Library on the UCD campus. Our pages on the UCD website can be found here.
If you wish to make a specific enquiry (and not a blog request) regarding this project, please contact John Matthews.
