The recent Students, Computers and Learning: Making The Connection report from the OECD finds no improvement in PISA scores from countries which have invested heavily in ICTs for secondary education. PISA tests 15-year-old students from over 70 economies in reading mathematics and science.
In the writer’s opinion, students will only benefit from the effective use of ICTs to support classroom practice. Potential uses and misuses vary. The report is extensive and merits further reading
