In May 2014 we ran a workshop called ‘Identify Your Strengths’, as part of the CareerFest 2014 event.
The aim of this workshop was to build self-awareness through exploring your interests, values and personality preferences. Understanding yourself better can help you to evaluate career options more effectively and make choices that are right for you. You will also be better able to market your strengths in your CV and applications.
If you missed the workshop or you’d like a reminder of what was discussed, you can view the presentation. You may also like to take a look at the Psychometric tests provided by Profiling for Success, which are available for UCD students and graduates to use.
Accenture were on campus last week to deliver a skills session on using PowerPoint. Presentations are common in college, job interviews and in the workplace, and mastering these technical skills now means you’ll have more time to concentrate on your content and delivery.
This session was part of the Certificate in Skills for Working Life, an 8 week course for UCD students on employability skills. If you missed the session or you’d like a reminder, the slides are available for you to look through.
